Terms of Use

These terms apply to wilminator.com, the Wilminator account at accounts.wilminator.com, and every game that links to this page ("the websites"). By using the websites you agree to them. How we handle your information is explained in our Privacy Policy, which is part of these terms. A game may add its own rules on top of these, such as the rules of play for that game.

Using the games

You are allowed to use the websites with the following restrictions:

• Use of the websites is limited to non-commercial purposes by players.
• You may not attempt to harm or disrupt any of the websites, or any of the other players that have, are, or will use them.
• You may not harass other players.
• You may not use bots, scripts or any other automated play.
• You agree not to abuse any bug or undocumented feature to gain an unfair advantage while playing any game. If you find one, please report it on the Contact page instead of using it.

Your Wilminator account

By signing in with your Wilminator account, you agree to allow the websites to:

• Track your gaming history, and only your gaming history, in each game you play, with each game keeping its own records.
• Keep persistent gameplay information associated with your account, such as your scores, progress and characters.
• Contact you by email regarding your account, as described under Email below.

Each sign-in you link, such as your Google account, belongs to one Wilminator account only, and we do not merge accounts. Keep the accounts you sign in with secure: you are responsible for what is done while signed in to your account.

Enforcement

We only ban players for breaking these terms, or a game's own rules. Each game can ban a player from that game, and we can suspend a whole Wilminator account, which blocks it from every game.

• We will tell you by email that you have been banned, why, and which part of these terms you broke. If we have no email address for you, the game will tell you instead.
• Bans escalate: the first lasts 1 day, the second 3 days, and the third is permanent.

Severe violations of these terms, as decided by the site operator, can warrant an immediate ban without the steps above. This includes falsifying information you give us, such as your age.

Supporting on Patreon

Patreon perks are a thank you for helping keep these games available for everyone. Contributing to my Patreon is not a promise of any additional benefit. I choose to provide Patreon supporters in good standing with some perks as a thank you for support, if they choose to play my games.

Being a Patreon member does not by itself grant any perks. To receive them, you also need a Wilminator account in good standing, linked to your Patreon. Losing that good standing, for example through a ban, is grounds for losing your perks. The perks received by tier are listed on myPatreon page, and are subject to change at any time without warning.

Patreon handles all payments under its own terms, including any refunds. Your supporter status in the games follows your Patreon support, with a few days' grace after the date your support is paid through.

Advertising

The games are free to play and are paid for by advertising. By using the websites, you agree to allow us to display advertisements from advertising partners, including Google AdSense, which use cookies and similar technologies to choose and measure the ads they show. The Advertising section of the Privacy Policy explains this and how to opt out of personalized ads. Supporters may turn ads off in the games that offer it.

Email

We will send you email only for these reasons:

1. Notices you choose to receive in a game, such as placing on a daily leaderboard. You may opt out of these at any time, in the game's settings or with the unsubscribe link in the email.
2. Matters related to the management of your account.
3. Suspected violations of these Terms of Use.

Reasons 2 and 3 cannot be opted out of. We will not send email for any other reason.

Our promises

We agree to:

• Delete your account, and any identifiable information we have collected about you, at your request. Sign in on your account page at accounts.wilminator.com, choose to delete your account, then confirm.
• Only use analytics to track website performance if you sign in and specifically permit it.
• Limit information sharing about you to just the advertising partners used to offset the cost of hosting the games, and not provide any additional information that the advertising partners themselves do not collect.
• Not share any additional information we keep about you, your history, and your activity with others, except as required by law.

Game content

The games on the websites, including their code, rules, pictures, music, sounds, text and names, belong to the website owner. Your browser or computer receives a copy of them so that you can play. That copy is for playing only: you may not copy, extract, reuse or share any of it, or use it to make another game or website, without the website owner's written permission.

There are two exceptions. Open-source projects have their own licenses, and you may use them under those licenses: the TerraForma RPG engine (GNU AGPL 3.0 with an exception, so games built on it may use any license), Randomaze's maze engine (GNU AGPL 3.0 with an extra permission) and the Dragon Star RPG Engine (GNU AGPL 3.0). Games built on an open-source engine, such as Vanguard Tavern, are not themselves open source. The outside fonts, icons and libraries credited by each game belong to their own owners and keep their own licenses.

Ending your account

You may delete your account at any time, as described in thePrivacy Policy. We reserve the right to delete accounts that have remained inactive for over a year, along with all related game data.

Everything else

The websites and games are provided as is, without any warranty. To the extent the law allows, the website owner is not liable for any loss or damage that comes from using them. The website owner may change these terms; the date at the top of this page shows when they last changed. The website owner reserves all other rights, except as specifically required by law.
